Recurring Events
Business After Hours
Business After Hours offers a great opportunity for the hosting sponsor to showcase its products or services. This monthly networking event is held at the sponsoring business and provides attendees the opportunity to informally network with approximately 100 Chamber members.
Business Before Hours
Business Before Hours offers a great opportunity for the hosting sponsor to showcase its products or services. This networking event is held at the sponsoring business and provides attendees the opportunity to informally network with approximately 50 Chamber members.
City Connection
An Oklahoma City Council Member and Oklahoma City official addresses the membership on local issues. Five events per year.
Legislative Events
A community leader or a panel addresses the membership on local legislative issues. Three events per year.
Instant Connections
This is a one-hour speed networking event where participants will have 2 minutes to speak about their business at each table. All participants rotate tables so contact is made with everyone in the room.
Good Morning County
A county person from either Oklahoma or Cleveland County will address the membership on local issues. Five events per year.
Annual Events
Annual Banquet
The Chamber’s Annual Banquet provides the opportunity to celebrate the ambitious efforts and progress of our community. It is a formal celebration of the accomplishments of the Chamber and member businesses. The Annual Banquet is our premier event and it serves as the installation ceremony for the new Board Members and recognizes key contributors to our City.
Sporting Clays Tournament
The Chamber’s Sporting Clays Tournament benefits the Chamber’s program of work and offers an excellent networking opportunity for local business professionals. Teams of four will compete in two flights for the Sporting Clays champion title, continental breakfast and awards lunch.
Excellence in Education Banquet
The Education Banquet provides an opportunity for the South Oklahoma City Chamber of Commerce and the community to recognize the accomplishments of an outstanding “Student of the Year,” “Teacher of the Year” and “Administrator of the Year” from local school districts. Many other scholarships and awards are given to current and future students.
Golf Tournament
The Chamber’s Golf Tournament benefits the Chamber’s Program of Work and offers an excellent networking opportunity for local business professionals. A scramble with 4-person teams will be the Tournament format and includes lunch, drinks and an awards reception after the tournament.
Meet the Chair
Annual networking event in which the incoming Chairman of the Board is introduced to the membership with a complimentary dining experience.
Planning Retreat
Board members and general membership are invited to gather for a two-day event, out of town, to discuss Chamber programs and design the Plan of Work for the following year.
Annual Auction and Taste of the Town
The Chamber’s Annual Auction with a rock & roll theme. More than 350 guests in attendance enjoy music and bidding on silent auction items donated by fellow Chamber members showcasing their business.
October Fest
An exciting showcase that is as much about fun as it is about business! Guests attend and purchase/learn about products and services from the exhibits/booths.
Et Cetera
We also offer numerous workshops and seminars both in English and Spanish to help our businesses. Past topics have included: marketing strategies, time management, networking, insurance, taxes and countless other topics relevant to the small and independent business owner.
