Elaine Lyons, President

Elaine Lyons has been president of the South Oklahoma City Chamber of Commerce since 2003. Previously she worked in economic development at Oklahoma City Community College for 15 years. As President of the South Oklahoma City Chamber of Commerce, her responsibilities range from long-term economic development to immediate implementation of civic improvements.

Her immediate goals are to increase economic and business development along with community awareness in South Oklahoma City. In addition to her role at the Chamber, Elaine serves as Executive Director of the South Oklahoma City Chamber of Commerce Political Action Committee and Executive Director of the Foundation for South Oklahoma City. She is active in the community by serving as a Trustee for the Oklahoma City Riverfront Redevelopment Authority, the Cleveland County Sheriff’s Office Community Advisory Board, Earlywine YMCA Council, and the Capitol Hill Main Street Advisory Board. She is a graduate of Leadership Oklahoma City Class XXIX and the inaugural class of TEAM South. Elaine was also recognized as one of The Journal Record’s nominees for the paper’s annual Woman of the Year Award in 2005, 2008, and inducted into the Circle of Excellence in 2020. She also was selected as a 2017 “Big 12 Women of Influence” by Cleveland County Lifestyle magazine.
